Antonio Faccilongo

Antonio Faccilongo was born in Rome in 1979, after he graduated in Communication Science, he explored his passion for photography at “Istituto Superiore di Fotografia” in Rome. Then followed a course of journalism and then obtained his MA in photojournalism under the direction of Rolando Fava, a former director and photographer for the Ansa Agency.

Since 2007 he began to work in photojournalism and has chosen to work in the area of reports of international interest. He has mostly focused his work in Middle east and South-East Asia, covering cultural, social and political aspects.

He works with the major Italian newspapers and magazines, his work (Single) Women obtained the Gold Medal 2011 Px3 Prix de la Photographie, the 1st Prize Story Category “Kuala Lumpur International Photoawards 2011” Malaysia, the “WOW – World Of Women 2011” Venice, and exhibited at Foto8 Summer Show, London, 2011 and MAP KL White Box Gallery Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur.
