Francesco Merlini has been selected among the 8 emerging photographers who will be published on MONO volume one.
MONO is a collection of contemporary black & white photography.
A hardback photo book showcasing whom Gomma consider to be the most talented contemporary black & white photographers.
It will be published in three volumes, Volume One will be launched in Fall 2012.
MONO intends to be a celebration of the beautiful and timeless artistic medium that is black & white photography.
A Call for Entries was held during December 2011 enabling Gomma to find out more about uncooked and emerging talents, artists who could be published alongside renowned photographers such as Roger Ballen, Daido Moryiama, Anders Petersen and Trent Parke.
A total of 1,084 photographers applied to the contest submitting a staggering 4,784 images.
48 photographers were shortlisted and 8 final winners made it to the final selection.
