During the Festival, Sumit will display an amazing 8 feet x 3 feet installation from his Kashmir project ‘Wish you live long’ at the Visual Arts Gallery, India Habitat Center in New Delhi.
Scott Typaldos will take part to the Evening Screenings with a digital exhibition of his project “Butterflies Chapter 2”. The projections will be held at the amphitheater of the India Habitat Centre during the Opening Week for the Festival from September 27 to October 3.
On Tuesday October 1st, at the India Habitat Centre of New Delhi, Sumit Dayal will take part to a talk with Fabien Charau and Tarun Khiwal in the Gulmohar Hall, starting at 14.00.
Among the Festivals’ initiatives, there will be sessions of portfolio review with many professionals photographers.
Sumit Dayal, together with Tarun Khiwal, Aditya Arya, Mahesh Bhat, Dileep Prakash, Amit Mehra, Gurinder Osan and Prashant Panjiar, will discuss applicants’ portfolios on October 2nd, from 10 am to 1 pm at Habitat Learning Centre, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.
The portfolio review will be beneficial to photographers looking to start a long-term project or simply looking for feedback on their work. Each review will be a one-on-one interaction between the participant and the reviewer and will be for a duration of 20 minutes. Registration will be on-the-spot.
Sumit will also hold in Delhi the workshop “THE PHOTOGRAPHIC ESSAY” addressed to the photographers with inquisitiveness for building a narrative or theme with their photographs. Participants has been required to work on a photo story or theme at their own locations, two weeks prior to the workshop. From September 22 to 26, during the workshop participants will learn how to critique their work, dissect images, create layers in their frame while shooting and finally edit their projects.
