On the 2nd of November a furious flood hit Veneto district.

The areas in the provinces of Padua, Vicenza and Verona are the most damaged: rural houses, streets, cellars, cattle sheds, greenhouses, hangars, cattles and fields are destroyed or reporting serious damages. Monteforte d’Alpone, a little village in the province of Verona, becomes the symbol of the crisis: the damages only in this little village are calculated in 35 millions of euros.

Two dead persons, 3 thousands of displaced people, the harvest – one of the major resource of the district – is in peril, as well the crop production. 150 thousands are the heads of cattle died in water.

After one week, it is going on to rain and snow, the Civil Protection operations slow down, the valuation of the damages raises to 1 billion of euros.
