On 6th April 2009 a massive earthquake about 6 on Richter Scale strikes Italy, leaving 293 deads, disappeared people, hundreds of injured persons and about 40,000 people have been confirmed as being made homeless.
The worst effects were felt in the medieval city of L’Aquila, 110km from Rome, and in all the villages of the area.
